    after photographing a snowy owl, northern hawk owl, and short-eared owl, I was actually happier to photograph a more common owl that my files were weak on-a barred owl. The background is where I photographed it, a woodland and not an open habitat. Canon 500mm f4 from car as blind. F8, ISO 400

    Nice habitat shot and very nice exposure, colours are super. Considering you were in the car, this came out quite good. Wish I could see a Barred Owl in the flesh.

    Beautiful bird and great detail. Limbs behind him could use some blurring to reduce the distraction.
