    While these guys are relatively easy to find out at the Merritt Island NWR, they don't always cooperate by settling on photogenic perches - there always seem to be branches of some sort in the way.

    Agree on the branches but I like it. Good exposure and the perfect head turn for that pose. I love the green leaves and the way that you designed the image, and even the oof branches in the BKGR are so oof as to be pleasing.

    Though the bg is busy with branches, it shows the dense habitat of these jays. My biggest nit is the strong halos around the perimeter of much of the bird and perch.

    Perch, pose and details are great but the bird really has to work on his choice of BG. :)
