couple of things that i spot quickly: one is the wing position. with it level, there is no light to expose the under wing. need either a fully up or down wing position. and second the bird looks a little small in the frame. would like to see it larger. will have more detail too!!! exposure looks great in some really nice light!!

I like the capture, your bird is placed right in frame...the head angle and eye contact are good...I agree with Doctor Davis on the position of the wings. You captured the bird with the pancake flat wing angle; this is why you don't have details in the under wing...on these types of captures, it is more desirable to have the raised wings or in the down position...if you would have used fill flash perhaps it would of helped, depending on how close the bird was to you...looking forward to your next one...:cool:

I like the placement in the frame with alkl the nesting material on the legs. Exposure looks good, you must have been close. Hard to get the details on the wings. Just looks a little over-sharpened to me??
