Hi Bill, Gosh! What a place to build a tower! I probably would have gotten rid of the contrail or cloud; for me it distracts from a really nice photo.

    Hi Bill,
Composition wise, I like how the elements were framed. The image has a blue cast and the rocks are over sharpened...looking forward to your next one...

love the composition and the subject matter!!! oversharpened big time!! can see halos!!! bill is this an HDR? the foreground elements look pretty well exposed in an area that i thought would have been a little darker.

Yes HDR. I didn't sharpen it very much the halos were there after the Photomatix work. Must have done something wrong there.

Good composition Bill, agree with the techs already mentioned. That is one precarious looking perch! Snow has a definite blue cast. Is there a reason you are processing in photomatix if this is a single image??

the was a tutorial around here somewhere that michael pancier had written on using photomatix and doing HDR's. might be useful if you can find it.

The image was made from three shots . There was a wide range of tones from foregound to background. I reduced the blue cast from the snow but apparently not enough. I haven't perfected the HDR settings and I seem to get some halo effect that is not coming from the sharpening in PS.
