I'm fine with the close wing but the other looks clipped rather than cut on purpose but the main thing that bothers me is the lack of detail. Sun was from the left and that part is in shadows, slightly more to your back would have illuminated the area.
Do like the exposure and sharpness with a good eye contact !!!! btw bg sure looks good !!!
Al, Axel, thanks for the feedback. I did clip the wing and wanted to try this crop rather than discarding it. I have tried to recover some details from the shadow although not much i can do about the low angle. Here is another version.
