Default Motif: Holiday Spirit - "Aspen Colorado"

Motif: Holiday Spirit – “Aspen, Colorado”

Note: circa 2000. This is Aspen mountain range in Colorado; taken during a ski trip with the family. Temperature was in the low single digits, and the snow was like a crystallized powder.

This was taken early afternoon around 1:00 p.m.
The image was painted with an Nikon F100, 35mm film camera, using a Nikkor 20mm f/2.8D AF lens. The negative was scanned into digital jpeg format.

Very nice Gus. Great depth of field. Like how how you have placed the mountains in the frame.

I really like how the valley between the mountains moves the eye through the photo (diagonally) to behind the mountains where it looks like the valley opens out a little. It drew my eye straight through. One day I will have to heli-board down the small chute on the right side of the shot...looks nice and dangerous!!
