Photographed last Monday at Point Reyes National Seashore, CA. This posture seems to be his "let's go" order as he uses it to corral his herd and get them moving.

    Thanks for looking. JR

John, Beautiful light, nice subject and sharp. Placement of the subject within the frame is good but a minor nit would be to have a bit more room on the right. Nice image!

I totally agree with Dave. It's very nice as presented but a tiny bit more room by that back hoof wouldn't hurt. I love the detail in the darker parts of the fur and the sunlight on the antlers. Beautiful capture!

Wow, great light and pose, if a bit tight on the right. Good looking beast!

Very nice light and a good pose. Nice animal as well. Might have like a bit more room arounnd the subject especially on the right side of the frame...

Great capture of this elk John... I love seeing it posed against that nice background. I agree about others comments regarding space.

Really like the look, the light and that blue background really makes the image stand out.
