    I thought the BKGR on this was a little different.
    Canon 40d 500f4 / f8 @ a/1600th / iso400 / cropped a bit and removed a couple of spots

    I missed you down there this morning Trey. I like the eye contact and the BG cranes. Sharpness is good but perhaps a little oversharpened. Wing position could be better; either full up or full down. Exposure looks perfect. Maybe a little CCW rotation to straighten out the horizon.

    Great light, BG and eye contact. I agree with Doug regarding wing position and horizon.

    Very sharp and the exposure is good. Cranes in the BG are interesting.

    Agree with the wing position. I would also trim (or lighten) some of the dark BG strip at the top since it doesnt really add anything to the image.

    Looks nicely exposed to me. I also like the leg down pose. I do wish the wings were up.

    Nice one Trey. I enjoy the other birds in the background, but I would remove the dark area at the top.
