    A comp from 5 exposures nice and early in the morning
    D300, 18-55mm at 40mm
    All five shots were shot at:
    ISO 100 and f 10
    Exposure was changed as was shutter speed

    Wow Rob. very nice. Colours, tonal range looks great. Is this HDR? Silver Lake near Ottawa?.....looks beautiful and serene....

    Rob, you have a beautiful image here. Needless to say the light is great creating a wonderful mood. I really like the boat moored on the left with the paddle on the dock. I also like the fact that you don't have the opening in the rear centered and it's offset. Very pretty!

    Hey Rob,
    I do like the mood of this one very much and as Dave said.......the oar is the final piece. Nicely done on combining the exposures too.

    Rob,
    I agree that this is a very effective use of HDR. I would recommend either including all of the tree on the right, or eliminating it from the frame. Also, I feel that the piece of vegetation on the left (circled) is somewhat distracting as it clutters the space around the oar, making it less distinct.

    Rob,

    Nice work expertly done. I agree with David on the left foliage but am OK with the right. For me, it depends on how it works in the image and I think that it adds a nice ending point to have the crop at the trees incline. But either as you have it or David's suggestion works for me.
