We have two Anna's that are spending the winter with us. The snow we've had for the last week turned to rain today and I managed to get a couple of photos of this guy. First one that showed him in good light. Unfortunately I crossed his tail with a twig. Could not get another shot and I'm not good enough in PS to clone it out.

The noise in this case is lumi and not chroma so its just minor and is not much of a distraction.
To get the best results with NR apply it first before curves or levels and sharpening. Also always apply it to the background only. Then when you do final sharpening for output, do not sharpen the BG.
In this case if you already run NR and would like to get rid of any residual noise, you can run a little Gaussian blur on the BG.
Hi Dan, Not easy but not bad. Lots of careful cloning (some with protect and defend), and a bunch of QMs and Patch Tooling. Sharpened and lightened the face.
