    I like the pose and head angle in this one and might clone out the branch above the bird's head. Too bad the other branch covers the feet. Fill flash might have helped here to lighten the plumage better. Maybe you could raise the color temperature a few degrees. The BG looks a bit noisy. Keep them coming!

    I like this, Steve. The rim lighting works well and the perch with lichen and water droplets is lovely. Nice and sharp but some loss of detail ?a significant crop. I agree with Axel regarding a little flash and a warmer temp. There looks to be some cleanup marks near the top of the near twig so I have copped it a little to remove that and raise the eye above the centre of the image. Ran NR and added an 81 series warming filter @25% - how does this look to you?

    Thanks, it looks better. It isn't cropped that much, it must be my sharpening. I'm always afraid to add too much. You and Axel are right about the warming. I wasn't sure about the rear branch. I tried it with and without, I guess I don't mind it. The rework is a better crop.
