A lot of activity at our feeder these days: northern CA. I think it has interest in terms of color and variety. To me a cheerful picture for the holidays.

Fully agree Michael Here you got two options, one is presenting the larger image as you did and the other closing in a one bird.

For the larger image do try to have more dof and maximize by focusing two thirds of the way in (hyperfocal distance). Did not see the ISO but would raise to around 800. Shutter speed would depend on how active they are, try catching them when they are still !!!

Pleasing and I like it !!! btw could increase contrast on the little birds a bit with selective color and bumping the neutral and black !!

Michael, This is a cute shot shows alot of activity -maybe a slight rotation to level the feeder and blur a bit more of the BG-Thanks for sharing your traffic jam!!

I gave the birds some more "punch", as best I could, and I blurred the background. I couldn't straighten it, since when I did it cut off some of the Goldfinch at the top. Is this an improvement?

You could try adding some canvas to the top and then straighten it.

Michael, Agree w/ William about adding canvas to top before straightening-worth a try and fairly easy to do

I added canvas to the top and then rotated it. I am very pleased. I would never have thought of that.
