    I am away from home and I took this off the web. The raw file is very sharp-hope the image holds up

    Although I am British and should show no emotion and keep a stiff upper lip that is the cutest iddle widdle duckling in the world!! (look what you have done, I went crazy).

    On a more serious note is there any technique to getting such sharp photos...I am amazed with every one of your shots and how sharp they are.

    Rob, Thankyou -glad you like it. I follow Moose Petersons advice on long lens technique-you can google his name to get to his site-he has a couple of techniques he shares-he said he didn't invent them but he does share them- Also I shoot w/ a tripod and try try try again!!! Happy Holidays!!

    They are just too precious Denise. Might sharpen the one eye just a bit, otherwise lovely. Were you on the ground for this shot??

    Jackie, I actually was laying down in the duck muck-He was so cute and kept getting closer-I wish I was shooting w/ the 100-400-it would have been easier

    OK, here comes the "dumb" question, but remember, I'm still learning stuff....
    You say you always shoot with a tripod, yet this duckling is obviously on the move. How does that work? I always considered a tripod to be for still objects.

    Hazel, I use a Wimberly arm mounted on my tripod-it gives a fluid movement
