    Taken on Sabljaci lake(Croatia) last summer.


    20D+ 100-400@310mm ....f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 400,-0.33 eV handheld

    Marko, I think this is lovely. The light shining through the wings, the layered background, the outstretched wings, and the nice sharp eye are beautiful.

    Love the light shining through the wings Marko - feathers area all perfect. My only nit is the bright white at the base of the neck between the wings. If a bit a detail could be recovered here it would be less distracting to my eye. A wider aperture may have blurred out the BG more without losing wing sharpness.

    Excellent comments above. I would add that the placement of the bird's head against the lower section of green adds to the success of the image.
