    this is the only pic of this bird that lends itself to this site. i know the shutter spd is slow, but..:o

    You were right..the problem is at 1/125 of a sec it will be very difficult to get a sharp image. You didn't state if you used a tripod or not but it's important that you do. You had even light but the head angle is down and a slight tilt away from the camera causing a darkening of the head.
    As you know these birds can move very quickly so it's important to have enough speed to freeze them and shooting multiple bursts will give you a better chance at capture.

    Mike was this on a tripod or were you trying off hand?

    I assume you were using a tripod otherwise I would not try it. Even with the soft image I like how you are working all other elements nicely !!!

    Mike-This is a tough bird to catch- agree w/ above comments-I thik your bird shots are coming along nicely-Merry Christmas to you!!

    The head angle is off Mike...but I'll look the other way because you have a get out of jail pass for the holidays...;)besides, You have a good clean background...:D

    You're improving Mike! One thing still puzzles me though: why do you usually shoot at slow shutter speeds?

    Merry Christmas everyone. you know, almost all of my images are taken on low light days. But today i got a good one. i'll put it up rightnow. 1/320 s. shutter.
