Hello everyone! Just another ducky! But its not a flying female.

I like this shot coz I have no idea what this guy was doing swimming on the side, showing his belly and stretching his leg. I just thought it was interesting. I exposed for the belly and then I tried to recover some detail from the head. Uhmm! Dunno! I'll appreciate your advices and critiques. Thank you!

Exposing for the whites was the way to go - the other way around you risk blowing out the whites and losing those details forever. In-camera, fill-flash helps with the darks...less aggressive work in PS afterwards ;-) But you did a great job recovering the darks.

Lovely image. I would only place the duck lower in the frame and do a CW rotation (your subject seems to be swimming uphill...)

Yes to the need for some CW rotation--I think that there may be two threads on leveling images in Educational Resources. Love the hairdo. Darkening the pupil would increase apparent sharpness.

C'mon Daniel! Maybe he was swimming upstream! :) I didt'n notice it! Thanks!

And just when I was previewing the repost Artie sent me back to the drawing board. I darkened it a bit, is it better now? Thank you!

Good job with the leveling. Here it is with some Eye Doctor work and a bit of selective sharpening of the face. All done with QMs.

The repost looks much better, I would crop even a little more off the bottom. Artie's repost looks odd on my monitor. The eye and head are quite pixelated.

    Hey Rene,
Nice job with the fixes. Well done with original capture and the details will get tweaked better in the PP.

Axel..........I don't see the pixelation on my monitor......but it is my laptop.

Cool duck but I have to agree with Axel.

Arties rendition is too sharp/ pixelated on my monitor as well. Somewhere between the two would be fine to my eyes.

Hey guys! Thank you for comments! uhmm! That leg! I was really wondering about him! I hope he wasn't hurt or something coz he was like that for a long while! I'm not sure if you guys noticed the other leg popping out of the water! Thank you!
