    Shot on a cloudy day at the Alviso Wildlife Refuge (down in SF Bay Area).

    I liked the pose and the "not the usual blue" background on this shot...

    Jean,

    Like the pose and background. Very nice exposure control. Personally, I would like to see more space at bottom that shows more of virtual legs. Also the oof vegetation in the front bottom part is kind of distracting. Nice work and keep them coming,

    I agree with you about the background Jean - it works very well for me - I like the echo of the wing colour. I agree about the space for the virtual legs but suspect you were caught between oof foreground and space for legs :)

    Excellent comments by Sid and Tony. I love the background--what's not to love? It looks as if the face could use a little selective sharpening.
