    Hi Mr. O,
I like the composition, you have very good head angle and eye contact with good color rendition. The bill is a tad on the hot side, I tone down the whites. I adjusted the saturation and contrast. eliminated two out of the three catch lights in the eye, which did not look natural, selective sharpened the eye area, clean up the bill by taking out the traces of feathers, ran noise reduction in the background, and trimmed the hair dew, in addition, I adjusted the mid-tones in the background by lightening them up a bit...see if this presents better to you...

    Hi oscar:

Love the shagginess of the bird. Have never seen one in the flesh.

Thanks for sharing this interesting and well presented cutie . . .

Hi Oscar. Nice one. It does look the bird just got in after a bender. I too like the light back ground. The bits of feather on the beak do add to the tattered look though.

Hi Oscar, Gus did a great repost. Like the toning down on the bill and the sharpening of the eye. BG is great. Is this what they look like before they turn black???
