Techs: The base image was under exposed on purpose to create a glowing warm feeling of Christmas. A Circular Polarize filter was used at 25 percent capacity, to tone down and control the light flair and reflections from the tree lights. The out of focus light pattern was created by pre focusing on a pre fixed point in the foreground, thus achieving this blown effect.
The image was painted with a Nikon D2x, using a Nikkor AF-S DX Zoom 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED.

Vey Nice Gus. It has a very happy and soft Christmassy feel to it. I did a bit of a double take because at first I thought one of the background lights, centre of the frame about a third up from bottom looked a bit like a globe or picture of Earth. Dave
