    Snow Geese

    Bosque Del Apache, NM

    D3, 600 VR 1.4 TC, ISO 1250, f5.6 @ 1/640, Exposure comp 0.0.

With the red sky above and most of the Geese taken off, I noticed this pair sitting in the still pink water without any Geese behind them.
I missed the shot where their bills touched and formed the sharp of a heart. I guess you can't have it all ;-)

First of all the light is just about perfect, I dont think you can find anything much better. The warm background tone is just awesome. Very nice. And the DOF and sharpness are right on.
    Great work, Excellent as is.
Since the water is not perfectly still I would crop from the bottom in camera and show more of the pink OOF BG.

Tremendous. I can see why Robert recommends the crop. I would do what you did, I am sure - try to fit the reflection in. Only after do you remember that reflections rarely work in anything other than still, flat water.
    Beautiful pic.

I could go either way about the reflection but the image is still killer. The light is magnificent!!!!!!

I feel the reflections work here, they add to the mood sort of like when you see a sunset shot and the sun is shimmering in the water.

I like the poses, water colors and I think the reflection works well here.

Magical light and nice poses on both the geese, very cool bg. Cant find much to critique.

Joe and Lou said it for me. Reflection with shimmering or still. It rocks.
