Taken just last week right before the weather went from cold to frigid. This is an image of the Missouri River down near one of my favorite parks. I converted the image using a watercolor filter, then added an ethereal glow action over the sky, masking off the water and treeline. I finished with some dodging and burning in the clouds to intensify the swirls and updrafts that were going on in the original image.

Jules, I love the effect on the water and the lower portion of the sky-I think the repeating patterns on the top are distracting. If it were mine I'd crop that part out. IMHO the lg.tree on right side isn't good, it looks like you painted the effect around it,and it looks odd. The overall image has huge potential-I love the painterly feeling-I'm on my laptop and working w/ my finger but you get what I mean-let me know

the cloud pattern is amazing. I also love the blues in it.
