After almost two months finally I got a chance to go out and take some photos with my newly arrived 70-200 F/4L IS. On the hindsight I feel I should have had this lens long back! I took this shot (possibly a juvenile Glaucous-winged Gull; can't ID from this angle) just as the sun went down behind the hills. Does this angle and low light work? Would love to get comments and feedback on what else I could have done better. Settings are -
Canon 40D, EF 70-200 F/4L IS F6.3 @200mm ISO 800 Exp +.33 changed to +1.33 in ACR, used Noiseware standalone.
Hi Indranil, I too like the BKGR colors. What was your shutter speed? It is much better to get the EXP right in-camera than have to lighten it later (and doing so introduces more noise...) The bird is still a bit dark and the face could use some sharpening. I like the wing position.

Artie, shutter speed was 1/640. I am still learning to adjust the exposure on camera using your CWAM with Exp comp guideline. Here is another lightened version with selective sharpening.
