My first post I hope it's up to scratch. Taken on a recent trip to Florida using some nice evening light. I'm very much on a learning curve so any comments appreciated. It's also a new workflow for me.
Welcome to BPN, Chris! Very nice first post. I like the angle, composition and eye contact. I would try to get more details in the shadows by applying curves and/or S/H. Keep them coming!
Hi Chris, Welcome. I am not a fan of off-angled light but you have done OK with the EXP here. A better approach here might have been to move to your right and wait for the bird to get square to the camera as the pose here is somewhat awkward.
The bird is certainly a female of one of the longer-billed races of Dunlin.
