    took this the other week,while walking on the river calder,in lancashire north west england.cannon 40d,72mm,f11,1000sec,iso800,hand held.

    Hi Christopher,
    I like the mood of the image......but I am wanting for a bit more of the frozen grasses in the FG. You may want to use the grad ND in the field.......to bring out more of the textures in the sky.....or do a multiplied layer on it in pp....see Robert's sticky at the top of the forum....tonal range tweaks.......next time see if you can get a nice clump of the frozen grasses as a FG base......with any of the BG trees.......this will probably help strengthen the comp even more. Nice job of not clipping the edge of the large tree....paying attention to these small details goes a long way.

    thanks ROMAN,but I am not well up in the ps,I need to learn more,got a bbook this weekend,called photo shop elements 7 the missing manual,see if I can learn anything.merry christmas and a happy newyear.thanks.
