    This is the bird that Axel so beautifully photographed. I found him the next day sitting near the ocean. I debated on removing the two sticks but left them as they were part of the scene which I try not to alter. He was watching Jimmy G approach, which didn't bother him, but the state guy driving his truck right by him, did. GRRRR.

    50d, 500 + 1.4tc, lowered tripod

    Oh Grace this is beautiful and I love the wonderful eye contact and alert pose. Very nice low angle and an interesting composition. Congratulations on a fine image !!!

    They are beautiful subjects to photograph! you did very well with exposure in this one, great find.

    beauty grace!! glad you left the two sticks. doesnt bother me a bit. agree with juan. i want to see these birds myself!!!

    Wonderful image Grace. The 2 sticks are part of the habitat and I'm glad you kept them. Everything works together in this image.

    The sticks work for me as well! You folks are doing a nice job on the sandy beach loving Snowy's.
