I orig. posted this in macro-but my DOF wasn't quite right so I re-cropped it and did a liquid treatment on the petal-let me know what you think

    I like it Lady Denise,
In my humble opinion, I would apply the liquid treatment to the entire flower, to make it flow...my eye keeps stopping on the left side of the frame; because it has a different perspective and dimension compared to the liquefied petal on the right...try it and see if you like it...:)

P.S. Also crop just a tad from the left side of the frame and open up the green mid tones by about 12 percent...

Very creative Denise! For my taste I would take a bit off the top and add a little canvas to the bottom and right. I agree with Gus' comments and be curious too see what you come up with. I also like the soft feel of the petal.

Dave, where would you go down to on the top?

Probably to the center of the small purple leaf on top which would help (to my eye) balance the image

Very nice, now this is what I'm talking about. "Poetry in motion" the natural lines just flow...good show...:)

See? There's more than one way to save a good photo from the trash bin! Now instead of that one petal being a soft distraction it is the focus of the image. Way to go, Denise!
