Great setting, pose, details and the snow adds to it. I hope the owls are doing well there and find enough food.

Oh man! I really love this comp! Absolutely wonderful setting, and like Axel said, the snow really adds to this one. I might be tempted to try adding a bit of light to the owl's face/eyes just to punch it up a bit, but I definitely love it as-is anyway! Great capture.

Congratulations James. I like the composition and the blowing snow with the bird hunched over.

I remember when I saw, and photographed my first snowy. It was quite a feeling.

Absolutely superb image, I may be tempted to brighten the eyes just a little, not too much because I don't think they would be very bright in that light.

James, you nailed a winner. Great subject, comp, terrain and weather. I see a number of these owls posted here...never saw one in the wild..

The wind in the grass, the snow ,the bird pose make this image outstanding.I think that litle selective levels on the owl ,especially in the eyes is needed.Congratualtions!

Wonderful! I am happy for you! Great image! I would also lighten the yellow in the eye area.

The falling snow in the shot is just SO beautiful. Great stare from the bird as well. Incredible shot.
