We had 2" of snow yesterday so I got a few photos during the storm.

The sharpness and details/colors look great. And the snow falling really makes for a very interesting image. I like it alot.

Wish the bird was perched on the branch and not behind the broken stump.

Also I would run some NR on the BG to remove some of the noise.

I like the mood, details and eye contact. I might go for a vertical crop in order not to clip the 'virtual' lower part of the bird.

I like this one too. First impression was the sharpness that jumps out of the screen, then saw that it was made with a 50D. I have noticed the same thing with mine, and Artie has commented likewise. The eye is fractionally softer than the breast, which could be fixed with some selective sharpening.

The slow shutter speed really accentuates the falling snow and is nicely done. You obviously have great technique to obtain an image this sharp at this shutter speed with the 500! And the bird didn't more either!

For fun you could try removing the branch on the left, leaving just the perch. The branch does not add interest to the image and could be dispensed with.

Thanks for the comments everyone. The birds are really suffering here as they are not use to very much snow in the Seattle area. I liked this in that it shows how the birds are laying low to avoid the wind.
