Another moment from November. North corn field, farm loop.

I really like the earth tone BG colors.

    Thanks for looking, critiques welcome.

I will be leading 2 workshops at Bosque in Dec, 2009 with a White Sands NM add on WS for 2 extra days.

Cool pose, light, details and BG. I might lighten the shadow of the head a bit.

Awesome capture. I like that background, but the bird usually blends in more. The lighting in this case really gives the bird a glow, making it pop from the background. The wing pose is fantastic with all the "fingers" splayed out like that. I kind of wish his legs were down more, but it makes the pose a bit different than most.

Did you blur the background in PS or is that straight out of the camera?

At this spot in Bosque the cranes prefer to land on an access road on the far side of an irrigation canal on the edge of the photography area. This road is quite a distance from the trees and corn stalks in the distance giving you soft BG. Also I did apply noise reduction only the BG, forgot to mention that in the notes. Many times I will run NR to smooth the BG even on low ISO images.

Awesome pose and colours.I would like it better with little more room under the bird.Congratulations.
