A young sloth hanging out in a Sercropia tree chomping away on the leaves and hardly moving a muscle. Costa Rica. It rained and rained. Glad those Mark III's can handle moisture.
    500mm ISO 800, f/4, 1/50th. Flash.

Hi Susan, glad you caught him doing what they do best: nothing :)
I guess he got caught in the rain too, probably too lazy to look for cover. I love the leaves framing him, adorable critter.

I like it a lot and you managed a real nice bg !!! Amazing animals I'm sure if he tried getting out of the rain would stop before he was half way done !!!

    Susan,
ISO 800, f4 and 1/50th. I can imagine the light levels. I like the placement of the branch. The rain has created interesting patterns in its body.

Nice composition and placement of the sloth in the frame. Flash looks just a bit more then I prefer but overall OK.

Now thats on soggy sloth. Flash is a bit bright. With a situation like this try underexoping the ambient light which will tone down the bright sky. It worked well with me on orangutans in Sumatra. The flash will handle the sloth...
