    the last of the owl series. thanks for all the comments on the previous ones. this guy was a lot of fun!!!

    D300, Bigma at 420mm, f/7.1, 1/30s, 0EV, ISO 1000, flash with better beamer at -1.0EV. it had gotten so dark at this time that i switched to Program mode and just let the camera take over. not much experience shooting at that light so why not!!

    Very good details and color rendition Doctor...I like it as is, would only suggest in toning down the whites in the background from the head of Mr. Owl down to the bottom of your frame; only the background, not the bird. Your whites are within range but my eye keeps going to the lighter areas...just a tad not too much...congrats...:cool:

    Bright don't bother me..Love the detail and the sleepy look and the two big owl toenails peeking over the branch.

    For some reason the OOF branch end keeps drawing my eye?
