    I like the pose and light and wish for wider DOF. The dark part of the BG is a bit distracting.

    Manos,
    The pose is great, but as Axel indicated, it would be improved with greater depth of field (smaller aperture). Also, the background leaves something to be desired. Changing your position to get a smooth tonality behind the bittern would have made the bird "pop" and ensured that the viewer doesn't wander away from the subject, as my eyes are busy scanning the background as well as the bird.
