    Great timing throwing that greenback around !!! Agree with Szimi on the head position Sideways would have been killer but those birds never cooperate !!!!!

    That is some kind of timing, because Anhingas, unlike Cormorants, don't wait too long with a catch, and on top of that, th fish in the air!

    Of course, a side view would have been killer, but then you wouldn't have the wake of the body coming out of the water.

    Welcome Bill! Great timing on this classic Anhinga behavior image. The anhingas typically spear the fish with their bill then toss them and catch them so they can swallow them head first.
