I drove my daughter to Toronto and decided to stop in Coburg Harbour to see what was around...lots of Long-Tailed Ducks at very close range..when I took a closer look at this photo, I notice what looked like a pair of eyes coming up behind the duck, (no gators here) just wave action and light refraction .. but looks ominous ...
Would have liked more canvas in front of duck

    Full shot, no cropping, D300, 300 2.8, tc17E-II, ISO-640 1/1250 f4.8
    sharpened and noise reduced

Great find, too bad you didn't have better light. I agree that more room at the left would have been great and might raise the color temperature a few degrees.

Wow, lucky to find one! Agree on your self critique about the canvas, maybe you can add some?
You can find instruction on how to, if you needed them, in the Edu Resources Forum.

Congratulations Paul. I agree with you self-critique.

I was in Toronto on Tuesday morning and got my first images of this species while on the ferry from the Toronto Island Airport.
