Good evening everyone! I just came back from a short trip bud sadly I didn't find any exotic birds! Well, I had fun shooting some ducks.

I need help with ID of this girl, I think is a Pintail female but the pictures in my book are no so clear. Maybe you experts can verify it for me. I had never paid attention to the females but they came be quiet pretty too. I have a few shots of females wich I'll post later.

Thank you for looking and for your comments. Cheers!

René I think that you are right with the identification. The details here are superb and I like the eye contact a lot. Nice light and head turn. I think that selectively toning down the BG would made the bird to pop-up a lot.

Hi René, good job on the exposure and sharpness. With the head tilted up a bit I'd be tempted to take some off the bottom and add some to the top. It's a matter of taste, but I like the BG as is.

Great details, light and eye contact. I agree with Daniel regarding putting the bird a bit lower in the frame.

Thank you for your comments! I wasn't sure about the cropping and I tried a few. I am reposting it with a crop that you guys all seem to agree was better. And of curse, I like it too. Cheers!
