    Default Brave little rat

Thank you everyone--there is a story behind the photo:
I have a large plant stand on my patio that is off the surface a few inches. When I saw two of my cats peering under the stand I knew they had cornered some kind of animal. Looking under the stand I saw a long thin tail, a RAT! I am an animal lover but I was not trilled to have a rat a few feet from my backdoor. My husband raised the planter up and out ran the rat with the cats, our dog (a Catahoula Cur), my husband and me right behind him. Almost immediately I felt sorry for the little thing. Before I could put a stop to the chase this brave little guy stopped and stood up. It is no fun to chase something that is not moving, so the dog (Buddy) stopped, looked and sniffed, what turned out to be a Pack Rat. I rescued the rat unharmed and put him in the woods with some food and shinny gifts, that Pack Rats are said to like.

Priceless is right and what a storyline. Big time Congrats on this one Kathy; I think it would make a great illustration for a children's book.

Just saw this..PRICELESS..Why does Stuart Little come to mind?:D

Good for you on the Rat rescue, no I'm not a fan of rats, BUT Woodrats aka pack-rats are native species..Not like Norway and Black roof rats
