    The bird winters in our region.

    Canon 20 D,
    Canon 400 F 5.6 at 5.6
    Vehicle as hide
    Cropped to vertical format. Few branches cloned out on the right.

    Background is a recent tilled land for cultivation.

    Hi atanumondal,
    I like the image and capture. The bird is too small in frame and the perch is over whelming. The black band around the eye needs to be lightened just slightly to bring out that eye...and selective sharpened. you display sharp details and good color rendition. I modified your base composition to illustrate another angle of capture...see if this presents well with you...:cool:

    Hi Atunamondal,
    Like the idea of the crop as there seems to be too much negative space around the bird. The BG is very pretty. Looking forward to more posts.

    compositionally it was not bad. i gave it a slight crop. moved the bird's eye into one of the intersecting lines of the rule of thirds. i also lightened the area around the birds eye. some flash fill would have helped here i think. love the bg. nice image, atanu!!

    I struggling with .... to crop or not to crop that is the answer :) The perch is so clean I might just leave it and show it Does look good !! This is just personal taste all the way.

    About all I wish for is to see the eye a little more visible !!! Keeper !!!
