    Default Saw-whet Owl 2 + Florida

    Amherst Island, Ontario, Canada
    D300 / 200-400 VR
    1/30s f/7.1 at 200.0mm iso250

Tripod, natural light, almost full frame

I tried to warm this one up, but still not sure if the colours are right., such quiet light!

Cloned out branch that did not fit (low center), and another that ran accross the birds face... more then my usual 3 minutes of pp!

Heading for the bird wonderland next week, if anyone wants to meet for coffee please let me know! My gps will be busy.

    Very nice capture Ray,
I saw the post by Paul Lagasi and was almost tempted to go to Amherst. When did you go?

Great find, the color temperature looks good on my monitor. I also like the included habitat.

    Where is bird wonderland?

Love the position of the bird against the tree, in this case I don;t mind the bussy BG as it compliments the whole scene nicely, light is nice and comp is grreat too. Congratualtions!

The birds position against the trunk certainly helps, I'm not keen on busy B/Gs but this works very well.

    Nice work.

Ray the warming of the image seems to be accurate on my screen. Not much to said about this image... except that I like it a lot, of course :)
Have a very good time and a lot of fun in the south and bring back home lots of great images ;)
