    Hi all,

This was taken during some poor weather conditions in Kenya back in October.
I am not entirely sure what started the aggression but they chased each other around for several minutes before returning to mutual friend status.

    1DMk3, 500mm, f5.6, 1/800, ISO1000

    C&C welcome.

    Thanks for looking

Hi Austin, probably hormone levels needing to be vented out :D
Or practicing for a real fight. Either way, nice capture, well executed action images are always a treat!
    Light rain a bonus.
Not sure about the black border, though.

    Austin,

Great action and the interaction at the horns makes the image. Composition also working well - not to tight or to lose. Agree the the black border is out of place. I also thought more detail existed in the shadows so I reposted a version with the image cropped and PSCS3 Shadows/Highlights adjustment to open up the shadows.

Nice action with this image. Roberts repost looks real nice. Love the look in the eye of the wildebeest on the right...

    Austin,
You captured some nice action. I like the composition and the eye of the wildeebeast on the right conveys the intensity. I agree with Robert's repost regarding the border and the shadow details.
    Cheers,

    Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. The black border was added to the canvas for projecting at 1024*768. If I don't fill the empty canvas with black then I get white stipes top and bottom which is worse! I'll cut them out on future posts.
Thanks for the shadow / highlight adjustment Robert, that helps.

    Cheers

    Austin
