    Another new species for me Terry - the red shoulder is very eye catching and while there is detail in the head, the back and tail have blocked up. A fill flash would have been a help here to open up that heavy shadow area. He didn't co-operate very well for you Terry, turning his head away from the camera. On the positive side, the perch and BG are spot on!

    I like the composition and BG. The pose is not ideal as the bird is looking away. I also think the exposure is a little hot as there are not details in the highlights due to the harsh light.
