    Default Jumping Dolphins

    Attached Images Attached Images

This image of dolphins jumping was captured on November 28th from the shore of Pine Island located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina on at 3:22PM.

This image is pretty much straight out of the camera. I did crop some off the bottom. Other adjustments were to boost the contrast a bit and run noise reduction on the out of focus water in the background water. Resized for the web and selectively sharpened the dolphins.

Thanks for looking and of course any critiques.

    Regards,

    Phil

Wow Phil, Great capture, the water looks natural and the dolphins are nice and sharp-like that they are close but not too close-Great Shot!

Phil you got a winner !!! Would crop from the top to make the dolphins larger in frame, don't need all that negative space. Great timing !!!!

I agree. Take it off the top just above the water drops! Fantastic capture here.

    Phil,
I cropped your image. I am sorry that your copyright notice got cut. I guess you shot this at 700mm. Nice action.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

I agree Sabyasachi's crop improved the image (thanks). I booted up PS upon arrival home from work made a quick crop and then accessed BPN to post but found Sabyasachi had beat to it. Thanks again for you comments and suggestions.

    Much Thanks

    Phil

    I like the recropped image.

The action captured and timing on your part Phil is great. Certainly not an easy thing to photograph.
