Attached is a couple of Toucans from a trip to Costa Rica. 40D 100-400 mm lens. All feedback appreciated. Thought I saved at 200KB but it looks like its smaller. May not be worth commenting on. Hope I did it right
First of all, WELCOME! I hope you feel confortable here.
Nice shot, lovely subjects and great scene, in my opinion, the light was a bit harsh and the angle you took the picture from a little lower than what I would've prefered, there are also some JPG artifacts in the sky and I wish for the lower bird to have given you a better head angle, other than that as said, lovely! Congratulaitons!
Thanks, Agree that light was harsh and angle was far from optimal. I will post some others from Costa Rica that have better bkgr. I kept waiting to get the pair better but this is the best. About a 50% crop
Welcome to BPN. I have learned a lot here and I am sure you will also.
Re the image Great first post! I like the colors and the bright colors. I agree with the comments offered by Ramon. I might also add that the OOF FG leaves are a bit distracting and I would clone out the branch running through the beak of the upper bird and the bright leaf between the two.
