I like the action here. Its a shame that you clipped the wings on both birds. The capture angle is too steep, needed to get lower, also you were shooting into the sun at a 90 degree angle, look at the shadows...thats why the gull to the left is dark. I know its difficult to get a capture like this in the spur of the moment, but practice and practice will get you there...remember...always keep track of the light, watch were the sun is and if possible try going lower on the capture angle...looking forward to your next one...:cool:
Main thing for me here is the light You might be able to lighten the herring gull a bit and btw those birds are a terror !!
Framing wise would be neat having he entire birds but looks like a deliberate crop at the wing joints, not bad. Angle is always nice for a lower as Gus suggests but tough on this unexpected action. btw would clone the butt of the other bird on right !!!
