Hi Eric. This is the look you get just before your car smashes into it and the deer lands in your lap. :( Those eyes certainly get your attention. Did you use a flash for this or were the eyes illuminated by headlights or a spotlight?

I used a flash...this guy was out in my woods and it was getting dark so without a flash the pictures were fuzzy. I wasn't sure how exactly to get rid of the eye color so I need some help.

Yes, you need to fix those eyes or quit flash :)
Comp is nice and I like the alert pose.

    Agree with Fabs.

To fix eyes, select them and then use a curves adjustment to darken them and desaturate them for any color.

    Comp and pose are good.

Good alert pose and a centered but pretty nice comp. Flash really is tough to use on deer, those eyes just light up big time. Not sure how natural fixing the eyes as Robert mentioned would look. I guess I would just have to see it..

The composition works for me. I have tried flash on deer and just don't like it.

This problem interested me, so I tried two ways of fixing it. In one, I transplanted eyes from another deer. In the other, I just painted the eyes in with a brush (blank layers in Photoshop). Can you tell which is which?
