This image of a three Tundra Swans was captured on November 28th at Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina on an overcast morning at 10:03AM. With the light gray sky I went for a high key effect.
I added a bit of canvas to create more room for the birds to fly into and boosted the contrast a little.
Thanks for looking and of course any critiques.
Regards,
Phil

Excellent composition, image and capture Phil,
I really like it. The birds in the back are symmetrical with the raised wing position; and the lead bird has them on the down stroke, giving the viewer a sense of speed and continuity, and a natural rhythm of motion. You have very good details in the whites and your subject are sharp...well done congrats...
Nice to catch them pretty parallel to one another Phil with the different wing positions. Agree with Nonda like the high key look. Might be nice to have a thin line around for the frame.
Hi Jackie, I agree with you on the positive effect a thin border would have on the image. It wasn't until I had posted the image that I noticed that I had forgot to stroke the edge.:(
Looks good Phil You went with the flow High key was the best option.
I like the formation, just wished for a slight wing position on the lower bird (fully stretched) and a bit lower for the middle bird. Real tough coordinating several in flight and this is so close !!!
