    Welcome to BPN and very nice first post! I like the details, BG and backlight idea. It looks a bit underexposed as presented. You could try to apply curves and/or S/H. Keep them coming and please post the complete techs.

    Big welcome and congratulations on a fine first post. Fill flash would have been an option to reduce the contrast between the backlit feathers and the shaded near side and would have added a catchlight to the eye. Composition , pose and sharpness are good. Looking forward to more from Hong Kong.
