Hi Kathy! The front bird is wonderful, really good exposure and nice detail, love the water drops! The water color works very well. Super nice!

I think I know where you were going with this, but the two back birds distract rather than add, to me anyway.

Hi Kathy, you did a really good job with the exposure on this one; it looks like the light was harsh but there is so much detail in the whites, good work! I tend to agree with Nonda's assessment on the composition.

I think the previous comments are right on. The front bird is wonderful - sharp, excellent exposure, interesting in flight composition. The 2 buddies really don't help the total image.

    Hi Kathy,
I like the capture on the main bird, but unfortunately the one in the background distract from the main subject. The image looks under exposed, The whites are in range and display good details...I made a few modifications to your base composition to illustrate my points. I cloned out the out of focus intersecting birds in the background to put all of the attention on the main one. I toned down the whites just a tad on the upper wings and the neck area, and open up the shadows in the under wing to bring out more details. I selective sharpened around the eye and the feathers on the under wing. also opened up the tones of the dark water...see if this presents well with you...

Kathy I like when you can incorporate a second bird but needs to be complementing. I find these type difficult to do.

As presented it could have worked if the second bird was not merging and wasn't cut. Two birds flying with the oof looking at the other, not bad.
