That sure feels like Winter! With the fore ground being monotone I would make the BG the same. Nice capture! Bob

Your image has a wonderful winter feel to it! Did I just say what it sounded like? You know what I mean, the image captures more than the bird, it takes in the weathers elements and that always makes a photo more appealing to my eyes! The Snowys steely gaze is perfect!

Thanks Mike, that's exactly what I thought too about the weather elements, the wind was just a howling, I was lying down in the snow on my belly, and the sun came out for a few seconds allowing one eye to be completely bright, too bad I couldn't get both eyes bright.

Nice image. The little feather sticking up above his right eye turns it from an owl in the fog picture to an owl in the wind and snow. The slightly shadowed eye and darker spots in the BG add to the "windy" feel for me.

Very interesting mood captured in this image and a great pose with wonderful eye contact Really love this capture and the only thing I would suggest would be to lighten the right side of the owl a tad . Congratulations on a beautiful image Art.

This is a very cool winter image, Art. I see this kind of blowing snow a lot, but I've not been able to capture the feel of it this well. I just wish both eyes were equally illuminated.

Fantastic mood in this image. i like a lot the balance between OOF and sharp areas in the composition, and the superb balance between cold tones (blues) and the touch of warm color (yellow in the eyes). If this one is a crop I suggest the possibility of a different croping adding more room at the left. Very good job!

I like how the weather has created such a great mood in this, showing only part of the snowy. Great eye contact, and very well captured Art.

This is an exquisite image. As much art as photography. The technical aspects of the image are spot on. Color rendition is very true and accurate. Mood and atmosphere are the strong points of the image: one can feel the elements. The only contribution that I might make would be to create a layer of the URC and add gausian blur and blend. Demphasise it a bit more. There is an over-all soft cuality to the image, the URC could reflect the same. Great shot; definite keeper.

Cold!!!!!! That's what this image conveys. And I do mean cold! I have been this cold. this image conveys strong emotion, steely gaze, determination, natures elements! Very nice.

I liked this picture very much giving a sense of winter cold.
My only nit would be to take off some of the dark stuff in the background.
