    shot this in the summer of 2008,it had just fledged,its brothers and sisters hadgone,but this one hung around for a few weeks longer,allowing me to get some shots.cannon 40d,400mm prime lens,1/1600 sec,f5.6,iso400,hand held.

    The kestrel certainly has a stately pose.....for such a youngster. I actually like the rocky BG.....lends itself to a very nice habitat image. I might be tempted to do a different crop such as a vertical which I've posted. See what you think. Well done.

    yes lana,your crop is ok,but I have always liked abit more of the envirment the subject is in.Everyone as there own styles,but yours still looks nice.This bird was born in this building it is stood on,in a broken ventilation hole,with 3others.thanks for your remarks.
