This pied-billed grebe got quite a mouthful with this fish. He eventually ate it but it took 5-10 minutes to position it correctly. This shot is a big crop from the original but I like the action regardless.

Great action shot Leroy, I photograph these little guys here in So. Florida all the time and had never seen this kind of behaviour, anyway the image is a little soft on my monitor anyway, but the fish being as big as he is makes it for me.

Leroy... For a sec I thought that was my shot! :) I have one just like that from England! Amazing how they can swallow those big fish! Cheers!

Action is terrific, but image quality suffers due to the heavy crop. I might crop a bit off the right.

You're definitely right about the image quality Doug. Would have been a great place for 500mm lens (that is if I could afford one of course).

Well timed to show the fish going down the hatch.

    Hi Leroy,

I am thinking that the repost is gonna look considerably sharper. Ran a Contrast Mask on a QM of the bird and the reflection and then did some work on the eye.
